That's The Way It Goes

I've always written songs with bands, for other people, but I've never kept them for myself. So now, I'm doing it for ME!

This one started back in 2011, when I was hired to write the music for The I Love Nicole Show, a variety show on MNN (Manhattan Neighborhood Network). The chord structure and lead guitar part was what I wrote as the theme song. Summer of 2024, I was working on some music with Scott Wolfson, and brought this song up. We spitballed some lyrics together, I made a quick demo, and then abandoned all the songs when my wife died that August. I came back to this one a couple months ago, refined the lyrics, and recorded a real version, which is what you're hearing right now!
